Distant Relatives

Greatest rapper of all time, Nas & son of Bob Marley, Damian Jr. Gong have come 2gether to deliver a much needed fusion of hip hop and reggae.

The album entitled Distant Relatives, focuses heavily on the aftermath of the slave trade. How so many black ppl were sent all over the world. The album also touches on the relation of all humans because humans originally migrated from Africa.

Damian Marley did most of the production on the album and his reggae sound on the chorus and certain verses set the tone of the album.

Nas, being the great rapper he is, provided the lyrics that told the story of each song. From telling the story of black ppl's ignorance of their history to his own standing as a man.

The fusion of these two styles and talents makes for pure greatness! With fitting features from K'naan & Stephen Marley and surprise features from Lil Wayne & Joss Stone... The album is easily a 4.5-5 star!!
